Helena Anderson specialises in twentieth century British and European art, with a particular interest in women artists and modernism. She joined the Fine Art Society in 2016 from Deborah Gage Works of Art, having previously completed her MA in European Modernism at the Courtauld Institute of Art. Helena has professional experience with works on paper, having worked in the Prints and Drawings Study Room at the Courtauld Gallery and in the Prints and Drawings Department at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
Since joining the gallery, she has collaborated with her colleagues on a number of exhibitions, including Modern British Women, Modern British 30, Modern British Sculpture, and Works on Paper, 2017. Helena has written reviews for the Burlington Magazine and Candid Magazine, and was awarded the Burlington Contemporary Art Writing Prize in 2015.
