Gordon Cooke

Director. 19th and 20th Century Prints Specialist

Gordon Cooke has been a print dealer for over 30 years, specialising in 19th & 20th century British prints, first with Garton & Cooke, then Gordon Cooke Ltd, before joining the Fine Art Society in 1997.

 

He has organised six exhibitions of Whistler’s work, the most recent earlier this year in April, James McNeill Whistler: Prints, two major shows of Sickert’s prints in 2002 and 2004, and Samuel Palmer’s complete etchings in 1999. Other exhibitions at the Fine Art Society include The Print Show, Geoffrey Clarke, Pastoral, Graham Sutherland and Paul Nash.

 

He was a founder member of the International Fine Print Dealers’ Association and served on the Board; he is also Chairman of the London Original Print Fair, which he founded in 1985.
