The Fine Art Society at 150 celebrates 150 years of our history, dedicated to pictures, furniture and design. This summer-long exhibition brings together our makers and artists, past and present – and always distinctive. Together they define the essence of who we are as a gallery . Our first floor gallery hosts a single-owner collection of etchings and drypoints by James McNeill Whistler, a key figure in our history. It was The Fine Art Society who commissioned Whistler's stay in Venice that reinvigorated his career.

Our Edinburgh gallery is open Tuesdays to Fridays from 10am to 6pm, and Saturdays 11am-2pm. We are open on Monday by appointment only.
