Overview
Robert Macbryde studied at Glasgow School of Art from 1932-1937, where he met his partner and artistic collaborator Robert Colquhoun. As a Modernist painter, Macbryde is best known for his brightly coloured cubist studies, although the focus of his work shifted towards darker, more expressionist studies.
