Oliver Bedeman is a painter living and working in London, whose work focuses on imagined and often dream-like portraiture. Figurative painting and drawing dominate his work, using both imagination and observation, from interpreting lyrics and fictional characters to intimate portrayals of his wife, brothers and friends.
Following a degree in Painting at Brighton University, Oliver studied at The Royal Drawing School in London where he won the Lady Rothermere Award and residency. He has exhibited in numerous shows and prize exhibitions across the UK. In 2016, his painting Tom Bedeman was selected for the 2016 Columbia Threadneedle Prize exhibition.
